Willie Erskin “Bill” Beavers age 91 of Lebanon, died Sunday, May 17, 2026 at Vanderbilt-Wilson Hospital in Lebanon. Born April 27, 1935 in Tippah County, MS, he was the son of the late Robert Joseph Beavers and Arizona Idell Bryant Beavers. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Sue Patterson Beavers on April 30, 2016; daughter, Venisa Lynn Reynolds; son, Mike Beavers; grandson, Brandon Johnson and great granddaughter, Adeline Zajac. Bill was one of 12 children and he was also preceded in death by 5 sisters, Peggy Clemmer, Tina Brady, Judy Jones, Louise Kelly, Ruby Bridges and 5 brothers, Dennis, Bob, Harmon, Johnny and Robert Beavers.
Bill was a Deacon and 46 year member of Linwood Pentecostal Church. He retired from roofing as a superintendent with Rackley Roofing.
He is survived by a son, Vincent Johnson and his wife, Michelle; grandson, Kyle Reynolds and his wife, Judy; granddaughter, Jenna Zajac and her husband, Josh; grandson, Robert Beavers; great grandchildren, Venisa Reynolds, Conner Reynolds, Ellie and Emma Barron, Emelia Barron, Noah Zajac, Beckham Johnson. Bill is also survived by a sister, Martha Smith and her husband, Randy and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, May 20, 2026 at Hunter Funeral with Bro. Roger Grisham officiating. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. till service time on Wednesday. Pallbearers, Charles Martin, Logan Hallman, Jimmy Grisham, Chris McMillen, Shane Matheny, Jamie Roberts. Honorary, “Wendell Grandstaff, Roger Nixon, Lonnie Dillard, Conner Reynolds, David Zuck. Interment with military honors will follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
