ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Welcome to summer like weather! Sunny and hot conditions to start the new week as temps soar to near 90 degrees Monday afternoon. It will feel a little humid as well. Threat Tracker is Green Monday but Yellow for Tuesday. The Yellow Alert is a heads up for possible strong to severe thunderstorms that may bring heavy rain, lightning, damaging wind gusts and large hail. At this time the threat does not look widespread, but we do need to keep an eye to the sky for Tuesday. A few storms may pop in the afternoon near any lakebreeze boundaries and then a line of storms in the evening as the cold front passes by. Following the cold front Tuesday night much cooler weather will return to the region midweek. On Wednesday a few showers in the morning will clear for some sun in the afternoon. Temps will fall from the 60s into the 50s later in the day. Cool and dry Thursday and Friday with sunshine and temps in the 50s and 60s. Looking ahead to the Memorial Day Weekend unsettled weather is in the forecast. Showers possible Saturday and Sunday into Monday.
