Auburn baseball ended its regular season on a high note Saturday evening with a run-rule victory over one of the best teams in college baseball. The Tigers beat No. 4 Georgia 14-4 to finish the year 43-12 and 17-13 in conference play.
In doing so, Auburn avoids the sweep and makes an already strong case for a top 8 national seed that much stronger.
Auburn’s Brandon McCraine sent a walk-off double to the left center wall to end this one. It was a fitting ending too, as McCraine was perhaps Auburn’s most effective hitter against the Bulldogs. He was one of 3 Auburn hitters to eclipse 3 hits on the evening, totaling 4 hits, 2 RBIs, 2 runs and a walk.

Tre Phelps followed up with a sacrifice hit to right field to make it 3-0 Georgia heading into the bottom of the second.
Auburn promptly responded and completely took over the game. The Tigers tied the score at 3 the following frame, then added a solo home run in the 4th off the bat of Bub Terrell. A few innings later, Terrell smoked another home run, this time a 3-run blast. He finished with 3 hits, 4 RBI and 3 runs.
