YOUNGSTOWN — The 2026 Men’s Rally in the Valley will be 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. May 23 at the Covelli Centre.
The free event will include a concert with Grammy-winning Christian artist Michael W. Smith, as well as several guest speakers, including Bishop Timothy Clarke, Chris Holm, Billy Hartwig and Dave Kohout.
Event organizers said the Men’s Rally in the Valley exists to reach out to unchurched men to bring them together in Christian unity for prayer, fellowship, worship and teaching. The event will include the free concert with Smith at 1 p.m. and is open to families.
The schedule includes worship at 8:45 a.m. with the first speaker at 9 a.m., lunch at 11 a.m. with additional speakers and the concert 1 to 3 p.m.
Scheduled guests are:
• Bishop Timothy J. Clarke, who is the senior pastor of the First Church of God in Columbus. Clarke has traveled the world sharing the good news of Jesus Christ, and is the author of several books, including “Celebrating the Family.”
• Billy Hartwig, who serves at Greenford Christian Church, where he leads student and young adult ministry. Hartwig will share the story of Jesus meets real life: The struggles, the questions and the hope we all seek.
• Chris Holm is the teaching pastor at Upper Room Fellowship in Columbiana. He is the author of “Beyond Christian,” a book that challenges readers to trade in their religious identity for a transformative way of life.
• David Kohout has dedicated more than three decades to leadership training and personal development. For the past 19 years, through his organization, Talk Is Cheap, Inc., he has expanded his mission to impact hundreds of thousands of students, educators, and academic leaders.
Michael W. Smith has sold more than 18 million albums. He is a singer, songwriter and producer and will be traveling the globe on his 2026 Kingdom Come Tour. He has won three Grammy and 45 Dove awards over his 40-year career.
Event organizers said this year’s event will be unique as the doors will be open to men, women, children and entire families for the first time.
The event emcee is former
local radio personality Bob Popa.
Attendees also can visit more than 50 different ministry tables. Prayer and counseling also will be available. A portable baptismal font also will be on site for those who choose to make their public confession and be baptized.
