ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Around 8:20 p.m. on Thursday, Rochester police said they responded to the intersection of Denver Street and Hazelwood Terrace after getting a report of gunshots, ending with three male juveniles being detained.
When officers got to the scene, they attempted to stop a group of males who were seen leaving the area, which led to a foot chase, according to police.
The three suspects were then detained, but police say a loaded handgun with another extended magazine was also found.
Later, officers said they found two separate groupings of bullet casings in the intersection of Denver Street and Hazelwood Terrace. This led officers to believe that there were multiple shooters, police added.
Officers then reported finding evidence of two houses hit by gunfire, but no one was injured.
The investigation is ongoing, and charges are still pending for the suspects.
It’s unknown if there are additional suspects or if all suspects were caught, police mentioned.
