ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A documentary film called “City Mark: A Rochester Icon” is coming to the big screen this spring and summer. The film explores the origin, evolution, and lasting impacts of Rochester’s City Mark symbol.
The film will feature archival footage, local voices, and new interviews to show the journey of the design.
Screenings
The film will have multiple screenings at the Flower Fest on June 6, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., in High Falls. The Little Theatre will screen the film on the following dates: Sunday, July 5, at an early matinee, Wednesday, July 8, evening, and Monday, July 13, early evening. Movies with a Downtown View will screen the film on Sept. 25, at 7 p.m., at Parcel 5.The design was created in the 1970’s, aiming to symbolize identity, pride, and belonging. This year marks the 50th year of the City Mark.
