After weeks of speculation, the Chicago Bears’ 2026 schedule has finally been released, and it’s going to be a tough year for the squad.
The Bears, coming off their first division title in 2020, were rewarded with arguably the NFL’s toughest schedule, which includes back-to-back games against both of last year’s Super Bowl participants.
The Bears will open the 2026 season on Sunday, September 13 when they take on the NFC South-champion Carolina Panthers in Charlotte. They’ll then play their home opener the following week, taking on the Minnesota Vikings at Soldier Field.
The Bears are currently scheduled to have seven nationally televised games, kicking off in Week 3 when they welcome the Philadelphia Eagles to Soldier Field for a Monday Night Football matchup.
A second Monday night matchup is set for Week 8, when the Bears head to the Pacific Northwest to take on the defending Super Bowl champion Seattle Seahawks.
Sandwiching that game are a pair of nationally televised battles, with the Bears welcoming the reigning AFC champion New England Patriots to Soldier Field for a Thursday Night Football matchup in Week 7, then battling the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on NBC’s Sunday Night Football in Week 9.
The Bears will take on the Detroit Lions at Ford Field on Thanksgiving Day, and they’re also set to take on the Green Bay Packers on Christmas Day, a game that will air on Netflix.
For the Bears, the final four weeks of their schedule promise to be a gauntlet. It starts with a Saturday night game against the Buffalo Bills at the brand-new Highmark Stadium in Week 15, then continues with home games against the Packers in Week 16 and the Detroit Lions in Week 17.
For their season finale, the Bears will head to the Twin Cities to take on the Vikings.
