ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Thursday was a gloomy, damp and cool day with mist and drizzle all day long. We’ll keep the clouds and some of the damp weather around into Thursday night and very early Friday morning, but we’ll see very nice improvement through the day. Some sun returns through the morning, with highs climbing back into the lower to mid 60s. Still a little cooler than average to mid-May, but much better than Thursday!
Temperatures continue to climb this weekend. Saturday will pop into the mid 70s, with highs near 70 on Sunday. While most of the weekend looks dry, we’re watching the change for a few showers or thunder late Saturday or early Sunday. The timing is still a little questionable, but check back on Friday for more specifics if you’re trying to plan something outdoors.
Our warmest air of the next week, and warmest so far this year will arrive early next week. Highs will reach 80-85° Monday and Tuesday. Rain chances will begin to go up later Tuesday and Wednesday as a cold front approaches, followed by cooler and more seasonable air into the end of next week.
