Arizona State men’s basketball on Thursday landed the commitment from Serbian center Filip Malesevic for the 2026-27 season.
The 7-foot-2 center has played professionally in Serbia for KLS’ KK Dynamic (2020-25) and FMP Beograd (2025-26).
This past season (30 games), the big man averaged 5.7 points on 65.5% shooting and 22.2% from deep. He added 5.8 rebounds and a block per game between FMP Beograd (17 games) and KK Dynamic (13).
He also played for the Serbian national team at the 2025 FIBA U20 EuroBasket. In seven games, he averaged 2.9 points, 3.3 rebounds and one assist per game. It was his third stint with the national team after appearances in 2024 and 2021.
Malesevic marks the third seven-footer joining head coach Randy Bennett in Tempe alongside transfers Nate Garcia (Cal Baptist) and Ben Defty (Boston University).
ASU’s 2026-27 roster now sits at 12 players with Malesevic’s commitment.
