BRIGHTON, N.Y. — The Brighton Town Board decided to table a vote until next week on whether to approve an expansion project for the town hall.

The board met on Wednesday night and has been debating whether it’s worth removing trees on the property to make room for the expansion. William Price, chair of the Brighton Planning Board, told News10NBC that this plan would not have been approved if it came from a private company.

“As the plan progressed into what they call construction documents, the plan was even worse, made even worse. Where that’s when we found out when mature trees would be removed and that parking was being reoriented and rebuilt for absolutely no reason,” Price said.
