In fairness, the version of the Bears we saw in Detroit last season is not the current version of the team, or even the version we saw much of the season en route to an NFC North title and an eventual playoff victory before their season ended in overtime against the Rams in the NFC Divisional Round.
Chicago also lost to the Lions in Week 18 to close last season, for what it’s worth, meaning Ben Johnson is still searching for his first victory over his former team.
We don’t know if this will be the first of their two meetings, until tomorrow anyway. Regardless, it will be Johnson’s next opportunity to beat the Lions at Ford Field.
