PERINTON, N.Y. — A fourth suspect in a kidnapping case was arraigned Monday night in Monroe County Court after being arrested in New York City.

News10NBC’s Adelisa Badžić learned Amar Saleh was taken into custody Monday morning. Investigators say four men kidnapped a mother and her two children from a house in Perinton.
Video shared with News10NBC by Amar Saleh confirms the suspected kidnapping happened at the location. Bail was set at $75,000 for Amar Saleh and another defendant, Omar Saleh. If they post bail, both must turn in their passports.
Monroe County District Attorney Brian Green argued in court Monday that the defendants are flight risks. According to court paperwork, the men along with Dajour Paul and Gamil Ahmed “verbally demanded and physically forcing the victims into a vehicle.”
Badžić went to neighbors to see if anyone had surveillance footage of what happened once everyone involved got outside. Nobody had footage but said they saw the cars when the scene was clearing up before police got there.
After court Monday, the attorney for Omar Saleh was the only one to address the media.
“Nobody was forced. You know, kidnapping requires force. It requires taking someone against their will,” David Stern said.
Court paperwork also shows the home where the mother and kids were taken from was rented or arranged by the U.S. Department of State and Child Protective Services for the purpose of “providing a safe harbor for the victims from the defendants at a location unknown to the defendants.”
Neighbors said they know the location is an Airbnb owned by someone in the neighborhood.
