ROCHESTER, N.Y. — A Rochester man is facing charges after Lollypop Farm says he admitted to keeping a cat in a carrier for two months.

Allen Peters is charged with torturing and injuring an animal/failure to provide sustenance.

Lollypop Farm says in February, Peters showed staff a cat in a carrier that was covered in feces, urine, food, and other debris. Lollypop says he admitted to staff that he kept the cat in the carrier for two months because it refused to use its litter box, leading to humane investigators getting involved.

Peters told investigators the same thing, according to Lollypop. He was later located and charged. Peters faces a penalty of up to one year in prison and potential fines.
