Clovis West High School reigned supreme again at the 2026 California Interscholastic Federation (CIF) Central Section Division I Championships over the weekend in Fresno, earning its second consecutive sweep.

The Clovis West girls scored 342 points to easily outpace runner-up Clovis North (269.5) and secure their fourth straight title and 32nd in program history. On the boys’ side, Clovis put up 324 points to oust Clovis North (270) for their second straight title and 26th overall.

Note that Central Section records are the fastest time produced by a swimmer in the Section at any meet, while Central Division I records are essentially meet records for the Division I Central Section Championships.

GIRLS’ RECAP

The Clovis West girls were led by a trio of seniors who combined for 113 of a possible 120 points, and it was Audrey Hill who was the top point-getter after sweeping her individual events.

Hill, a Washington State commit, set a new CIF Central and CIF Central D1 record in the 100 butterfly, clocking 54.28 to lower her Section record of 54.36 from 2024 and her Central D1 record of 54.82 from last season. She owns a personal best time of 54.07, set in 2024.

Hill also won the 100 free in a personal best time of 50.84, breaking 51 seconds for the first time since setting her previous PB of 50.88 at the 2024 CIF State Championships.

Also picking up big points for Clovis West en route to their title were fellow seniors Sophia Oka-Fedder and Hailey Marinovich.

Headed to Northwestern in the fall, Oka-Fedder won the 50 free in a new Central Section and Division I record of 23.18, breaking the previous mark of 23.27 set by Caitlyn Snyder in 2018. Oka-Fedder set a personal best of 23.10 in December.

She was also the runner-up in the 200 free in 1:51.36—last year, she swept the 100 and 200 free.

Claiming the 200 free title was Clovis High School sophomore Gwyn Villard, who was 2nd behind Oka-Fedder last season as a freshman.

This year, Villard set back-to-back personal best times in the prelims (1:49.42) and final (1:49.19), tying Claire Tuggle‘s Central Section D1 record from 2019 in the final. Villard came into the meet with a PB of 1:50.26, set in February.

Back to Clovis West, Marinovich secured victory in the 100 back in a personal best of 56.63, and added a 3rd-place finish in the 200 IM, setting another PB in 2:02.85. She’s headed to Penn State in the fall.

Clovis West picked up one relay win, claiming the 400 free relay by more than four seconds in 3:26.55, with the team consisting of Zylah Radford (52.61), Marinovich (52.67), Hill (50.55) and Oka-Fedder (50.72).

Along with Hill, the other double event winner on the girls’ side was Rowyn Wilber, a Clovis North junior and USC commit who set a pair of new records in the 200 IM and added a second victory in the 500 free.

In the 200 IM, Wilber set a personal best time of 1:59.72, lowering her previous best of 1:59.91 while breaking the CIF Central Section record from 2019 (2:01.24) and the Division I record from 2016 (2:02.38).

She also won a repeat title in the 500 free, clocking 4:52.70 to easily top the runner-up, Villard, by nearly eight seconds. Wilber’s best time sits at 4:49.14, set in April 2025.
