ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Monday morning clouds and stray sprinkle will clear for some sunshine and fair weather into the afternoon and evening. Temperatures continue well below normal with highs in the low to mid 50s. Mainly clear and cold tonight with widespread frost developing. Be sure to take any sensitive plants indoors overnight and Tuesday morning. Fair and cool weather Tuesday will give way to our next rain threat late Tuesday night into Wednesday. At this time no flooding or widespread severe threat so Threat Tracker will remain Green.
Rain will be on the increase Tuesday night with steady rain into early Wednesday morning. While Wednesday will not be an all-day rainout showers and possible thunderstorms look likely at times into the afternoon and early evening. A few downpours are possible so for outdoor plans we need to keep an eye to the sky and be prepared for changeable weather. The last thing we need is another heavy rainfall but many of us may be looking at another soaking with amounts around an inch possible.
More showers are possible on Thursday and perhaps even into part of Friday. Improving weather headed into the weekend with a nice warm-up expected.
