The smash-hit Netflix series, which was co-written by Graham and Jack Thorne, became an international sensation on its release last year – and it’s since been reflected during awards season.
At today’s ceremony, held at London’s Royal Festival Hall, Adolescence was up for 12 awards – including Best Drama, P&O Cruises Most Memorable Moment, and five acting gongs from the cast.
Early on in the ceremony, the show scooped three awards, including Best Supporting Actor for Owen Cooper, Best Supporting Actress for Catherine Tremarco, and Limited Series.
“There's something in development right now. Which is… is it public?” he noted.
“And Ashley's now smashing it as an actor like I always knew he was. We all, you know, let's be honest, [...] He's one of our greatest actors that we have had. He's amazing and beautiful ever since Bullet Boy.”
