Chicago police are investigating after a 19-year-old man was killed in a drive-by shooting on Saturday morning in the West Lawn neighborhood, authorities said.
The shooting was reported at around 1:53 a.m. along West 69th Street near South Pulaski Road. Police said a 19-year-old man standing outside when he was shot multiple times in the lower back. He was transported to Advocate Christ Medical Center and later pronounced dead.
A preliminary investigation showed the suspect may have been traveling in a vehicle, police said.
The victim has yet to be identified by the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office.
