2026 NCAA relay swimmer Kamryn Meskill has announced she will transfer to Michigan for the upcoming 2026-2027 season. Meskill just finished her freshman season at North Carolina.

“I am incredibly grateful to announce that I will be continuing my career at the University of Michigan! Huge thank you to the coaching staff for this opportunity. I cannot wait to be a Wolverine and join the family. Thank you to everyone who supported me during my time at UNC, and to Abi Liu for guiding me through this journey. GO BLUE!”

The Oregon native arrived at UNC this past fall and scored 12 points at the 2026 ACC Championships. She was highlighted by a 16th place finish in the 100 back and notably swam a lifetime best 52.03 during prelims.

Meskill went on to be a relay only swimmer for UNC at the 2026 NCAA Championships. She led off the team’s 200 free relay in a lifetime best 22.20 50 free. That relay was 26th. She anchored the team’s 400 medley relay that finished 14th in a 47.88 and also split a 23.42 50 fly on their 200 medley relay.

Meskill’s Best SCY Times Are:

50 free: 22.20 100 free: 48.66 (from high school) 100 back: 52.03 100 fly: 52.99 (from high school)

The Michigan women captured the 2026 Big Ten Championship and went on to finish 6th at the 2026 NCAA Championships. The team was led by Bella Sims who tallied 50.5 individual points including an NCAA title in the 400 IM with a 3:58.08.

Based on her best times, Meskill adds depth to the team’s sprint program as she would have been 5th in the 50 free and 4th in the 100 back this past season. Brady Kendall led the team in the 50 free and will have since graduated, so Meskill brings in relay potential as well.

Meskill joins fellow swimming transfers Haley McDonald who arrives from Texas and Julia Strojnowska who arrives from Auburn. McDonald made NCAAs this past season as a freshman for Texas while Strojnowska made the 2025 NCAA Championships during her freshman season at Auburn.
