Friday night’s game two will also be at the KeyBank Center, before the Sabres head to Montreal for games three and four. Josh Doan, the Sabres right winger who scored a goal and an assist, said the team is aiming to continue its momentum.
“I think starting off hot was obviously important. Getting ourselves and the fans into it early is always huge,” he said. “It’s one of those things, I think the first round there was a little bit of jitter just because we haven’t been here in a while, and you don’t want to disappoint. So you’re kind of gripping your stick a little bit. And when we went to the road, you could find us kind of playing more in our style. And I think that’s something we got to take advantage of now, is playing back to our style and using the crowd to our advantage at home.”
