On a new episode of Call Her Daddy posted Wednesday (May 6), Kesha told the story — which Swift apparently played a big part in, indirectly — of the only time someone has broken up with her. “I’ve only gotten dumped actually one time,” she told host Alex Cooper. “The guy I was dating, I kind of thought he was probably a star-f–ker, and I was like, ‘I’m just going to test this theory.'”
“So I went to the Eras [Tour],” the hitmaker continued. “After the tour, there was a little party, and I was just like, ‘I’m going to pop in, take my girl friend. I’m not going to take the boyfriend, let’s see how this goes.'”
Despite having dated him for a year and a half at that point, Kesha said, “That dude came over the next day, dropped the keys off, and that was that.”
“I was like, ‘Have you no shame? Couldn’t you wait, like, 11 days or something?'” she added, laughing. “Tantrum. I mean, if you’re going to do it over anybody, Taylor Swift is the one to do it over.”
Swift’s Eras trek lasted from March 2023 to December 2024, raking in billions of dollars with more than 10 million tickets sold. Kesha was one of dozens of celebrities who attended the tour, which also saw everyone from Selena Gomez to Emma Stone, Stevie Nicks, Julia Roberts, Eddie Vedder, Serena Williams and Tom Brady catch a show at some point.
Kesha’s tale of the post-Eras breakup was just one of many dating stories she told on Call Her Daddy. She also offered up a tale about a man with one eye whom she had a fling with — which she ultimately ended because he “smelled kind of like a Subway sandwich that had been sitting in the back of your car for a couple of days” — before revealing who her real soulmate is.
“My fans are the love of my life,” the musician told Cooper. “It’s my longest relationship I’ve ever had. We’ve grown up together, and they’ve shown up for me.”
