An inmate has escaped from the Kenosha Correctional Center in Wisconsin and is now being sought after by law enforcement, authorities.
The Wisconsin Department of Corrections issued an alert Tuesday saying 31-year-old inmate Jonathan Taylor had escaped from the center just before 3:30 p.m.
Kenosha police were “currently searching for him,” the alert stated.
Details on why Taylor was in custody weren’t immediately released. Court documents show Taylor was found guilty in May 2024 of one felony count of evading an officer.
Taylor was described as being 5 feet, 9 inches tall and weighing about 200 pounds with blue eyes and brown hair.
Anyone with information on Taylor’s whereabouts is being urged to contact law enforcement.
