ROCHESTER, N.Y. — The vacant former Gateway Building on East Main Street by Harper’s Corner will be turned into 129 apartments.
After the $72.3 million project, the seven-story building will be known as Gateway Apartments. This comes amid other revitalization efforts at the historic Harper’s Corner at East Main Street and North Clinton Avenue.
According to Gov. Kathy Hochul, Gateway Apartments will be affordable to households earning up to 80% of the Area Median Income and will have a mix of studios, one-bedroom units, and two-bedroom units.
In October, News10NBC Chief Investigative Reporter Berkeley Brean gave a tour of new apartments at a building right next door.
