The spotlight in Miami won’t just be on the racing this week – it will also shine brightly on the Cadillac F1 team as the American outfit rolls out a striking new look for its first home race in Formula 1.
After quietly building experience across the opening rounds of its debut season, Cadillac is now embracing the moment with a special livery that leans proudly into its identity.
The team’s MAC-26 – named in honour of American motorsport legend Mario Andretti – has traded subtlety for symbolism, weaving the unmistakable elements of the United States flag into its design.
A homecoming look with purpose
Until now, Cadillac’s entry into Formula 1 has been defined by its sleek black-and-white colour scheme, first revealed in a high-profile Super Bowl campaign last winter. But Miami changes everything.
For this weekend, the car takes on a more expressive character. A monochrome stars and stripes motif is spread across the rear the bodywork, while the rear wing becomes a focal point – boldly carrying the “USA” acronym with a vibrant flourish that sets it apart from anything else on the grid.

At the car’s other extreme, the front wing’s main flaps are adorned with 50 stars, one for each American state.
It’s a visual shift that signals more than just a design tweak. It’s a statement of arrival.
Cassidy Towriss, Cadillac’s chief brand advisor, made clear that the new look balances identity with evolution.
“The Cadillac Formula 1 Team’s special Miami Grand Prix livery is a natural extension and speaks without excess. It's deliberate and confident,” Towriss said.
“This is our first home race, and it mattered to us that fans still recognize what they've come to know. I can’t wait for the crowd to see it on track for the first time. There's no place like home.”

For a team still finding its competitive feet – with its best result so far a 13th-place finish courtesy of Valtteri Bottas in China – Miami offers something different: a chance to connect.
In a city known for its energy and spectacle, Cadillac’s all-American design ensures it won’t go unnoticed. And while results may still be a work in progress, this weekend is about something just as important – identity, pride, and making a statement on home soil.
