Suns guard Jordan Goodwin will likely be questionable (calf) for Game 4 as Phoenix tries to stave off elimination on Monday, head coach Jordan Ott said Sunday.
He was ruled out the second and third games of the first-round playoff series for a left calf injury. The injury first flared up just five minutes into his Game 1 start, in which Goodwin scored two points on 1-of-4 shooting.
His defensive intensity has been missed with Phoenix on the brink of elimination at the hands of the reigning NBA champion. Goodwin averaged 4.9 rebounds and 1.5 steals in 70 regular-season games, coming off the bench in all but 10 of those.
Goodwin had nine rebounds, six steals and scored 19 points (7-of-11 shooting) in another game with the season on the line, as the Suns got by the Golden State Warriors in their second play-in game.
Other Suns injury updates
Mark Williams, Phoenix’s starting center for 55 games in the regular season, will be out as he continues to battle a left foot injury, Ott said.
He has been absent from the last four Suns games dating back to the play-in game against the Warriors on April 17.

Williams played 22 minutes in the first play-in contest against the Portland Trail Blazers, which decided the seventh seed in the Western Conference playoff bracket.

Sharpshooter Grayson Allen returned to action in Game 3 on Saturday after dealing with a left hamstring injury, scoring seven points (2 for 8 from 3) in 17 minutes off the bench.
He had been available in every game dating back to the first play-in game on April 14, but didn’t get on the floor.
“For maybe one or two of the games, (I) was close to being ready,” Allen told reporters Sunday. “I think it was a unique situation but at this time of the year even if you’re 1%, 2% scenario of (playing) happening, being available just in case was important.
“It felt good to get back out there and play. Playoff basketball is different, a lot of fun, so I was happy I was able to contribute a little bit last game.”
Allen added he liked what he saw on tape from his overall movement, especially when moving at high speeds, which hamstring injuries can affect the most.
