First Alert Weather: Tracking a great start to the work week ...Middle East

News by : (News10NBC) -

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – We made up for Saturday’s washout with Sunday’s sun-filled sky, and we’ll keep it going into Monday. A mainly clear sky Sunday night will allow temperatures to drop into the upper 30s and lower 40s by early Monday morning. With the help of an abundance of sunshine, we’ll climb into the upper 60s on Monday. The exception will be right along the Lake Ontario shoreline, where temperatures there will hold in the 40s and 50s.

Our next round of showers will arrive on Tuesday afternoon. The first half of Tuesday looks dry and mild with a balmy breeze. Temperatures will once again climb into the 60s on Tuesday thanks to that southerly wind. It doesn’t look like it’ll be a washout Tuesday afternoon, but we will see a couple hours of showers.

Our mild stretch will slowly come to an end starting on Wednesday. An area of low pressure moving in will bring another batch of fairly widespread rain, followed by falling temperatures. It won’t be a drastic drop, but it’ll be a noticeable one. From the 60s on Tuesday, into the 50s on Wednesday, then falling back into the 40s by the weekend with some off and on rain showers. So, we’ll enter into May with cooler than average temperatures for a week or so.
