ROCHESTER, N.Y. – After yesterday’s drenching rain, gray skies, and cool temperatures, we get to relax and enjoy a decent end to the weekend as the sunshine returns and the air warms to the agreeable mid to upper 50s. The lakeshore will be cooler due to lake breeze.
Tomorrow morning starts off chilly in the upper 30s, but we warm up even better to near 70 degrees! Still plenty of sun, so get out and enjoy it if you can because it goes downhill from there.
An upper level trough and associated cold front will enter the region Tuesday afternoon, bringing rain and cooler temperatures. That upper level trough then becomes cut off from the jet stream and sits over the northeast US by next weekend, which will cause multiple shower chances and cooler air to fill in for a stretch. Even though average temperatures by the first full week of May will be the mid 60s, we may not get out of the 40s. Yikes.
