The Arizona Cardinals drafted Ole Miss offensive tackle Jayden Williams with the No. 217 pick in the seventh round during Day 3 of the NFL Draft on Saturday.

Williams was the fifth offensive player taken by the Cardinals this draft.
The 6-foot-4, 307-pounder started all 15 games for Ole Miss at right tackle last year. According to Pro Football Focus, he allowed two sacks during that span and was flagged just once.
He can also play left tackle, making 19 starts in 30 games played from 2022-24.
The offensive tackle now joins an offensive line room in need of a boost on the right side on the line following a downturn in production last year due to poor play and injuries.
The step back played a big role the Cardinals posting the second-worst rushing attack last year behind only the Las Vegas Raiders.
The team did sign Elijah Wilkinson this offseason, who started 17 games at right tackle for the Atlanta Falcons last year. He has been viewed as the leading candidate for the starting role since re-joining the Cardinals.
Offensive tackles Josh Fryar, who made five starts last year as a rookie, and Christian Jones are also on the roster.
