First Alert Weather: From soggy to sunny ...Middle East

News by : (News10NBC) -

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The Rochester area certainly does not need any additional rain, but rainfall totals from today appear to be between .75 inches to 1.39 inches.  This rain will diminish through this Saturday evening as drier air slowly moves into the area later tonight.  However, you can expect lots of standing water with area creeks and streams running much higher from today’s wet weather.

Our forecast calls for the showers to end from west to east this Saturday evening with patchy fog possible for the remainder of the overnight. The low temperature will be near 40 degrees. The second half of the weekend will be much improved as the area dries out.  Sunday may bring patchy clouds for the morning, then gradually more sunshine for the afternoon.  Winds will be light, but still a bit cool for this time of the year as the temperature will only rise into the middle 50s.

Looking ahead, Monday will likely be the best day of the week!  Plenty of sunshine returns with the temperature rising in the middle 60s
