GREECE, N.Y. — A judge has given the green light to a construction company to foreclose on the former Crescent Beach Restaurant in Greece.
Casciani Construction Company gave Katherine Mott-Formicola and her business partner $1.7 million to buy the empty building on Edgemere Drive in 2023. But plans to revitalize the building were dashed when Mott-Formicola was charged with running a check kiting scheme.
It cost Five Star Bank $19 million. She has since pleaded guilty to those charges.
Her sentencing has been delayed several times as she cooperates with federal prosecutors.
