ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Our stretch of nice spring weather comes to an end for the weekend. Rain moves in Friday night, and will stick around for much of the day Saturday. Initially, we may see some downpours during the morning, with the rain becoming more stratiform into the afternoon. Most of our area will see rainfall ranging from a half inch to an inch by Saturday evening. The system will be slow to go, so the majority (if not all of the day) will be a washout. That, combined with constant clouds will keep our temperatures in the 40s on Saturday.
We’ll see nice improvement on Sunday. While we’ll start the day with a fair amount of clouds, we should begin to clear out nicely, becoming mostly sunny by late afternoon and evening. That will also allow our temperatures to rebound back into the 50s. So, Saturday should be the day to get any indoor chores done, with Sunday a decent day for outdoor plans.
Monday and Tuesday will feature a nice warming trend, with temperatures back into the 60s. While Monday will feature an abundance of sunshine, Tuesday will see some showers arriving by late afternoon or evening. This will begin another somewhat unsettled period, with some showers on Wednesday, followed by a cooler pattern setting up to kick off the month of May.
