HONEOYE FALLS, N.Y. — The woman found guilty of killing her sister in Honeoye Falls a year and a half ago is due to be sentenced on Thursday morning.
A jury in February found Jamie Busch guilty of second-degree murder and tampering with evidence in the death of Penny Busch, 62. Prosecutors say Jamie strangled her sister inside Penny’s home in October of 2024, then dumped Penny’s body in the Genesee River. They also say Jamie took her sister’s three cell phones and dumped them in the garbage can outside Dunkin’ Donuts.
The trial took several days of testimony and two days of deliberation. Jamie Busch is due in Monroe County Court at 9:30 a.m. Check back for updates on the sentencing.
