ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Spring is springing in and around Rochester! Seasonably mild air, along with dry weather and a fair amount of sunshine will continue into Thursday. We may see a few more high clouds from time to time, but it shouldn’t impact our weather or temperatures much. Much like Wednesday, we’ll see a lake breeze setting up near the Lake Ontario shoreline. This will keep the immediate lakeshore communities in the 40s and 50s, while the rest of the area should once again pop into the 60s. So, more fine Spring weather Thursday.
A backdoor cold front moves in on Friday, which simply means the cooler air will be coming in from the Northeast, instead of the west, which is a more typical direction for us. This font will be moisture-starved, so we don’t expect any rain, but we will see more clouds and temperatures a good 10 degrees cooler than the past few days.
We’ll kick off the weekend with some showers returning on Sunday, along with cooler than average temperatures in the 50s. Sunday looks like the better weekend day, with dry weather, some sunshine and highs back in the upper 50s to near 60.
