ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Happy Earth Day! It’ll be a fantastic day to get outside and celebrate our wonderful planet. Morning temperatures are in the mid 40s to low 50s; over 20 degrees warmer than yesterday morning. It’s clear north of I90 to start with clouds still clinging on to the south, but going into the afternoon expect clearing skies for all. Highs will be in the mid 50s along the lakeshore due to that cooler lake breeze, but up to the mid 60s inland. Rochester should fall near the middle.
Clear skies overnight will cause us to cool down to the low 40s overnight, so tomorrow morning won’t be so mild, though still way better than yesterday. It’ll be a mostly sunny day once more, with highs ranging from the mid 50s to around 60 from the lakeshore inwards.
Friday is trending on the cooler side with highs expected to be in the low 50s. We’re still monitoring any changes in the trends and will continue to update the temperature forecast accordingly, so stay tuned. It’ll be a mix of sun and clouds, and should remain dry until the nighttime.
Rain will enter the region and stick around through most of our Saturday… But Sunday is looking dry and warm. Enjoy the dry and warm days in the forecast, because a wetter and cooler pattern will set up mid to late next week.
