BERGEN, N.Y. — In Genesee County, Bergen firefighters put their training to the test when they rescued a driver from a rollover crash.

The crash happened just after 7 a.m. at North Bergen and West Sweden Roads.

Firefighters cut out part of the car’s roof to get the driver out. The driver was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

The department says they practiced rescuing trapped drivers in a training exercise just 12 hours earlier.
