Young Miko has been a force to be reckoned with since her debut in 2021 with “105 Freestyle.” With hard-hitting rap verses and punchlines that are both empowering and resilient — backed by her smooth and sugary vocals — the Puerto Rican rapper has fearlessly and confidently broken through in the male-dominated Latin urban genre while primarily singing about her queer identity.
Born María Victoria Ramírez de Arellano Cardona, Young Miko has landed major collaborations with Bad Bunny, Arcángel, Feid, Bizarrap and Karol G, to name a few, and in the course of her five-year career has earned various Billboard entries, including seven on the Billboard Global 200 chart, four on Hot Latin Songs, three on Latin Airplay and two on Top Latin Albums.
Meanwhile, her first-ever entry on the all-genre Billboard Hot 100 arrived with the Feid-assisted “Classy 101” in 2023. In celebration of Young Miko receiving this year’s Unstoppable Award, Feid shares what makes her undefeatable in the industry.

The day we performed our collaboration “Offline” on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon (May 2024), we were overjoyed — though Young Miko was a bit nervous. I kept telling her that everything would turn out fine, and it did! The fact that she chose that specific song to perform with me — marking our joint debut on late-night TV — was something truly beautiful.
Young Miko brings a very fresh sound to reggaetón. Her voice, the unique perspective she brings to her songs, her fanbase, her look … there are just so many things that make her incredibly authentic — not to mention how amazing she is onstage. She possesses a powerful aura; she shines all on her own and commands everyone’s attention. Simply put, she is a massive star.
I first heard her music back in 2021; I found her incredibly authentic and thought to myself, “Damn, this music is absolutely sick!” I loved it; it felt truly unique — like something completely fresh and new. Later, while I was on tour in Europe [in 2022], all I did was play Young Miko’s music on repeat. The first time I actually spoke with her was in Puerto Rico at a Spotify event [in 2022]; she was hanging out with Álvaro Díaz and he introduced us. I found her to be a very special person — very respectful, laid-back, calm, cool and open to conversation.
Later on, we happened to run into each other at the same studio in Los Angeles. She happened to be working there — I think with Diplo, though I can’t quite recall — but that day, she played me a ton of songs. It was a wild coincidence because she actually played me a track with the idea that I might sing on it. She played me “Classy 101,” and I told her, “That sounds absolutely killer with your voice … let’s do it together!” … and it turned into a massive hit.
When I started touring the world, “Classy” was one of those songs where the audience — even if they didn’t speak Spanish — would at least sing along to lines like “bubble butt,” “classy,” “romantic” and “game over,” allowing my fans to connect with and understand my music on some level. Thanks to her — and after hearing her bars and punchlines in English on “Classy 101” — I really opened myself up to rhyming in English as well.
I will always be incredibly proud of her entire journey and of all the good things happening in her life — not because she owes me anything, but because I feel she is such a well-rounded artist, one who truly deserves to have amazing things happen to her. She is deeply sensitive to reality, to the world, and to the people around her.
Young Miko is an artist who is constantly evolving and growing all the time. She is so dedicated in the studio; she always strives to improve and never fails to surprise you with her flow. She hasn’t stagnated — and she never will — because her creativity in the studio simply won’t let her stop. She will always be unstoppable.
