We are oh so close, Cleveland Browns fans. The 2026 NFL draft is just around the corner, and we can almost smell it, taste it. Wait, can you smell and taste a made-for-television event? Maybe if you take the trip over to Pittsburgh, you can.
While the Browns take the field on Tuesday, including working out at least two offensive free agents, the real focus is on the NFL draft. Injury updates on two offensive players and one top defensive player, on top of rumors, rumors, and more rumors, lead the conversations at this point.

For Cleveland fans, offensive tackle and wide receiver have been the primary focus all draft cycle. It would have been nice if this year’s draft had a bunch of quarterback options, but that is not one of the blessings of this draft.
On Monday, NFL draft expert Jon Ledyard took part in another Q&A at SB Nation. In response to DBN’s question about the wide receiver group, Ledyard gave out superlatives for the prospects this year:
Best chance to be a true #1: KC Concepcion or Carnell Tate
Best contested catch guy: Denzel Boston
Best routes: In terms of executing what routes they are asked to run, Elijah Sarratt is probably the most clean and consistent. Mendoza could have thrown to him with a blindfold on. In terms of separation created, KC Concepcion, not close
Boom/Bust potential: Chris Brazzell. Chris Bell is in the conversation, too, but Brazzell just moves different
Most Browns fans would love to see Tate take the short trip up I-71 from Columbus, but Concepcion and Boston could be first-round options as well. Brazzell and Bell are seen as Day 2 prospects, while Sarratt’s evaluations are all over the board, depending on what folks value in the receiver position.

Which superlative is most important to you about receivers in the NFL draft? Do you agree with how Ledyard assigned the prospects above?
