Carolina scored three runs in the first, four in the second, three in the fourth and three in the eighth on its way to the win. Macon Winslow and Cooper Nicholson also went deep for Carolina, marking the first time this season UNC has hit three home runs in consecutive games.
Saturday’s win improves UNC to 33-6-1 this season and 15-5 in ACC play, tied with Georgia Tech atop the standings. Carolina will go for a series sweep Sunday at 1 p.m.
