ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Earth Day weekend is approaching, and dozens of volunteers plan to join Genesee RiverWatch and other organizations in two cleanup events along the Genesee River on Saturday.
The first event runs from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., near Lower Falls in Rochester. The second event runs from 10 a.m. to noon, at Genesee Gateway Park, off of Mt. Hope Avenue. People can volunteer at either cleanup site.
Nets, poles, grabbers, and grappling hooks will be provided.
