Our Chicago Bulls have a whopping two first-round draft picks, but may be down a head coach after this week. The team is expected to meet with six-year coach Billy Donovan to discuss its plans for the future and the 60-year-old Hall of Famer’s fit.
Michael Reinsdorf has been practically groveling for Donovan to stick around, but given that the team doesn’t yet have new front office leaders, it may be hard to convince Donovan that the Bulls have picked a direction.
Let’s take a look at other news and notes from the Bulls and the basketball world.

In assessments of game and snack costs, Gautham Marthandan and Kathy Morris of The Action Network have revealed just how broad the gap is between watching a Bulls game at the United Center and at home for a family of four. It ain’t pretty. Accounting for $880.20 in combined average ticket costs, $26 in average parking expenditures, and $83.48 in estimated concessions (two beers at $34.20, two sodas at $15.52, and four hot dogs at $33.76), the tally climbs to an astronomic $989.68. With a home game, however, the “average basket” sum is a mere $31.81 — that’s the average price of a six-pack of beer, potato chips, tortilla chips, and salsa in Chicago, $1.64 less than the national average. So it would take 45 watch parties to match the expense of one game. All three of our Bulls’ two-way signings — guards Mac McClung and Yuki Kawamura plus center/power forward Lachlan Olbrich — each scored 10 or more points during the club’s season finale, a 149-128 loss to the Dallas Mavericks. Per Windy City Bulls broadcaster Sam Brief, that may mark the first time in the history of the club that all three of the team’s two-way players have ever achieved that. © Kamil Krzaczynski-Imagn Images Seven-time All-Star point guard Skylar Diggins-Smith headlines a new group of talented vets joining the Chicago Sky this offseason — which also includes All-Defensive First Team wing DiJonai Carrington, returning champion big Azurá Stevens, 2024 All-Rookie Team small forward Rickea Jackson, and defense-first guard Jacy Sheldon. Chicago also selected two-way UCLA wing Gabriela Jaquez with the No. 5 pick, ahead of her teammate Kiki Rice, seemingly in more of a win-now bid. The 35-year-old Diggins, for one, acknowledges that she appreciated the vision laid out by GM Jeff Pagliocca and coach Tyler Marsh, per Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune.“I’m bought into the vision,” Diggins said in her introductory presser. “I’m not just coming here saying this is the end or whatever for me. I want to play some good basketball. I still have a lot to go as far as what I feel like I can do, especially with this team.”
The Los Angeles Clippers led the Golden State Warriors by a whopping 13 points, at home, in the fourth quarter of their 9/10 play-in tournament clash on Wednesday night. But some old-school clampdown Draymond Green defense on Kawhi Leonard (which yielded two critical steals), combined with red-hot 3-point shotmaking from Stephen Curry and… Al Horford, helped the Warriors erase the deficit. Golden State won, 126-121, and will now play the Phoenix Suns on Friday for the right to nab the No. 8 seed and get decimated by the Oklahoma City Thunder in the first round of the playoffs. Speaking of the Thunder, the Clippers’ loss guarantees they’ll now finish in the 2026 NBA Draft lottery. Unfortunately, that means Oklahoma City will land that pick and get yet another elite young talent — en route to fortifying its dynasty long-term. Apparently, there is some wiggle room for the NBA’s 65-game cutoff for end-of-year honors. Per Shams Charania of ESPN, both Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic and Detroit Pistons point guard Cade Cunningham have suddenly been ruled eligible, despite both playing fewer than 65 contests. Both Doncic’s and Cunningham’s seasons finished at 64 games played. The six-time All-Star skipped two games earlier this year for the birth of his child in Europe. Cunningham suffered a collapsed lung. He, Cunningham, and Minnesota Timberwolves All-Star shooting guard Anthony Edwards all filed for Extraordinary Circumstances Challenges. Charania notes that Edwards was ruled ineligible for year-end awards. Former two-time All-Star point guard Ja Morant fully anticipates that he’ll be moving on from the Memphis Grizzlies this summer, per ESPN’s Tim MacMahon. Although his trade value may be lower than Memphis would like, one West executive believes a market should emerge.“There’s certainly going to be hesitation, but there’s going to be several desperate teams,” the executive told MacMahon.
MacMahon notes that the Sacramento Kings demanded a first-round pick, in addition to Morant, as part of a potential trade package this past regular season.Hence then, the article about home vs uc bulls game viewing two way success diggins all in on sky and other bulls bullets was published today ( ) and is available on Bleacher Nation ( Middle East ) The editorial team at PressBee has edited and verified it, and it may have been modified, fully republished, or quoted.
