Gooooooood morning, BN’ers. And happy Wednesday. I’ve got a cool new feature to show you today, and I think some of you are really going to like it.
Bleacher Nation now has a free (and ad-free!) Mock Draft Simulator!

Okay, now the tool.
New Mock Draft Simulator is Live!
This new feature on Bleacher Nation was built by our very own Matt Rooney (with the help of our dev team). And I really love it. As of today, the simulator covers the NFL, NHL, and NBA (MLB coming soon) and has live updating odds, pick order, team needs, and suggested players.
You can also choose to operate as one, multiple, or all teams, decide how many rounds you want to simulate, and adjust settings for need, best available, and positional value.
It looks a little something like this:
For now, you can access the tool from our menu (top nav bar on desktop, or click the hamburger menu option on mobile). But I’ll find a way to create some sort of widget to access it elsewherre on the site eventually, too.
This tool is completely free to use and does not have any ads on the page. I can’t promise we’ll never put ads on the page, but that is extremely not in the plans as of today. More to the point, as you’ll see in the coming weeks and months, I am making a real effort to add new features and functionality to the site WITHOUT adding more ads. In fact, I’m trying my best to go the other way when and where we can.
The goal, in transparency, is of course to get you to visit the site more often (which will help us make money on ads elsewhere), but that doesn’t mean each new feature will need to be monetized.
For example, you might have noticed the Cubs and Bears category page (on desktop especially), has some new stuff, like live updated standings, stats, and roster info.
I removed some ads to make this happen, and I hope you enjoy your experience (and visit more often) because of it.
We also have an update/overhaul to the homepage coming soon, which I think will make it even more user-friendly. And it also comes with a couple ad slots removed.
As always, I’ll remind you that I know – deeply and truly – that our ads (all ads) are annoying. They’re not great for us, either, as they slow down the page and cause friction for you guys to click on stuff and hang around longer. But as an otherwise free site, we have to have them. It’s just our lot in life. And in an era where traffic is more difficult to come by because of changes to social media algorithms, Google search results, and the onset of AI (content and tools), etc., the ads are that much more important for us to survive.
But I am hopeful that through my actions (if not my words), you can see that I am trying to make this place a more pleasant and valuable/useful experience for you all. And I hope even more that if you still find the ads overwhelming, you consider subscribing to BN Pro.

In any case, this new mock draft tool is just another new feature in a line of tools and games I intend to roll out this summer.
