Phoenix Suns guard Jalen Green drilled a deep 3-pointer and was fouled to end the first half of Tuesday’s play-in game against the Portland Trail Blazers.
The Suns trailed by as many as 14 points, but Green’s triple and subsequent free throw with one second left on the clock cut the deficit to three points going into the break, 65-62.
Green stepped back and hit nothing but net, even while falling to the ground after drawing contact from Portland’s Toumani Camara.

Green sat up with his arms crossed before stepping up to the free-throw line. The first-year Suns guard led all scorers with 22 points at the break on 8-for-14 shooting.
The Suns started the game 0-for-7 from beyond the arc, as Portland made 10 3-pointers before Phoenix hit its first with 3:11 left in the second quarter.
