2024 Paris Olympic gold medalist Torri Huske confirmed her plans to continue swimming through the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics but said “three is enough.”
After competing at the 2026 NCAA Championships, Huske confirmed her plans saying, “I am swimming until [20]28, probably. I want to hopefully make it. I think it would be really cool to end it on a home games and then that would probably be my last meet ever. I think three is enough.”
Huske, who just finished her senior season at Stanford also confirmed that she would continue to train at Stanford the rest of the summer. “I mean, I’m going to be probably at Stanford training with her and the rest of the team whoever is there for the summer. So yeah, it’ll be fun,” Huske said.
Originally from Arlington, Virginia, Huske made her first Olympics at age 18 when she qualified for the 2020(1) Tokyo Olympics. There she finished 4th in the 100 butterfly, just 0.01 off bronze. She also won silver as a member of the US women’s 4×100 medley relay.
She made her 2nd Olympics in 2024 as she qualified individually in the 100 free and 100 fly. She won gold in the 100 fly, touching in a 55.59. She also won silver in the 100 free with a 52.29. She helped the US to two relay gold medals as the women’s 4×100 medley swam to gold in a World Record time of a 3:49.63. Huske also helped the US to gold and another World Record in the mixed 4×100 medley relay as that relay touched in a 3:37.43. She also was a member of the US women’s 4×100 free relay that captured silver.
Tickets for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics became available last week for locals in LA and Oklahoma City. Ticket sales for the general public opened today, although only the highest priced category of prelims tickets remain.
