Bulls Bash Wizards as P-Will & Rob Shine: 129 – 98 – April 7, 2026 ...Middle East

Here’s something you haven’t heard in a while: the Chicago Bulls win… yay?

After a seven-game losing streak, the Bulls finally get one against the Washington Wizards, a team so bad it almost feels harder to lose to them than to actually beat them.

Just four games left before the curtain closes on Chicago’s season.

The Moments the Bulls Won the Game

What happens when a team on a seven-game losing streak meets a team on a six-game losing streak? Well, we just got the answer to that very specific question.

The shorthanded Chicago Bulls came out playing a collective brand of basketball tonight, right from the tip. By the end of the first quarter, they had already built a 20-point lead against the worst team in the NBA, the Washington Wizards.

They had six different players score within the first six minutes of the game. And by the end of the quarter, their lead was bigger than the Wizards’ entire point total. They had them scoreless for nearly five minutes. In fact, this was the fewest points the Bulls have allowed in a quarter all season. Nice to be on the other side of that for once.

They were dominating in fast break points, fueled by all the turnovers they were forcing, which only added to their points-off-turnovers tally. Playing against a tanking Wizards team is a strange experience, because Patrick Williams was out there looking like prime Kawhi Leonard in that first quarter.

He finished the quarter with 5 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, and a +24 off the bench. P-Will was running the floor, leading fast breaks, and dishing dimes.

Chicago ended the quarter up 38–18, and didn’t lose (sigh) that lead for the rest of the game.

Key Stats and Takeaways

The first half was a big one for the Chicago Bulls, albeit against a very bad, tanking Wizards team. Chicago took a 29-point lead into halftime, holding Washington to just 37 total points. This marks the first time since 2023 that the Bulls have held an opponent under 40 points in a half. It was also the second-fewest points the Wizards have scored in a half this season. The result honestly felt decided well before the final buzzer. That dominant half came down to a lot of factors, but the biggest one was forced turnovers. The Wizards coughed up the ball 14 times in the first half, their third-highest total in any half this season. Those turnovers turned into easy buckets on the other end, and before you knew it, the scoreboard read 66–37 in Chicago’s favor.

— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) April 8, 2026 The third quarter stayed ugly. It was technically the Wizards’ “best” quarter until that point—the only one where they managed to crack 20+ points up to that point, but even then, it was still less than what Chicago put up. The lead ballooned to nearly 40, which meant we got Mac, Yuki, and Lachlan minutes. Chicago closed the quarter up 100–63, just ludicrous. The only other notable thing that happened was Isaac Okoro left the game with a left quad contusion and did not return to tonight’s game.

— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) April 8, 2026 The Bulls lost the fourth quarter by 6 points, allowing the Wizards to only lose by 31. With this win, Chicago snaps a six-game losing streak, while Washington extends theirs to seven. The final score on the night: 129–98.

— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) April 8, 2026 Since the Bulls played so well tonight, it’s only right to give those performances their flowers—starting with Patrick Williams. He stuffed the stat sheet: 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, and a +25 off the bench. If this wasn’t the best game of his career, I don’t know what is. It’s his first 20-point game this season, and his first in a win since December 2023. On a night where most of the attention has been on Chicago’s failures, P-Will carved out a moment for himself.

— Bulls on CHSN (@CHSN_Bulls) April 8, 2026 Rob Dillingham also had a huge night, arguably his best so far. He finished with 26 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 steals on great efficiency, along with a +24 off the bench. It was the first time in his career he’s crossed the 20-point mark. The Wizards really have become that team to go get your career highs against.

— Chicago Bulls (@chicagobulls) April 8, 2026 Tre Jones recorded his second straight 20-point game, while Collin Sexton was flirting with a triple-double. All 10 Bulls who saw the floor got on the scoreboard, and six of them finished in double figures.
