The Masters seems to be a tournament that’s been dominated by the big names as of late. Seven of the last nine winners have been past winners of a major. If we narrow it even further, the past four tournaments have been won by Scottie Scheffler (2x), Jon Rahm, and Rory McIlroy. So, while it’s by no means a guarantee we’ll see one of the favorites win, that’s been the trend as of late.
Currently, Scottie Scheffler is your favorite with +490 outright odds. However, his form has been a little off as of late. He’s struggled early in tournaments and didn’t play well at The Players Championship a few weeks ago. Having said that, Augusta is a course Scottie has always played well, so never count him out.
If you’re looking for a longer shot, why not last year’s runner-up Justin Rose? Rose is another golfer who often seems to play well at Augusta National. He’s had a bit of an up-and-down season, but he has a win already, and he loves this course. His outright odds are worth a flier, as would be his Top 5 and Top 10 numbers.
Looking for an even longer shot? How about Cameron Smith? Smith hasn’t been the same player since moving over to the LIV Tour. However, he’s played well at Augusta National quite a bit. Last year, he missed the cut, but in 2024, he was T6, and four of his last six finishes have come inside the top 10. As I said, he’s a long shot, most certainly at +11000. But for a tournament that tends to trend toward players who have good course history, Cam Smith might be worth a flier.
