SOUTH BRISTOL, N.Y. — A Canandaigua man is hospitalized after he was hit by a pickup truck while walking on Monday in South Bristol.

Ontario County sheriff’s deputies say it happened around 6 p.m. on State Route 64 South. The truck was heading south while the man was walking north.

A Mercy Flight took the man, 36, to Strong Memorial Hospital to treat serious injuries, and he is expected to survive. Deputies are still investigating the crash, and the road has reopened.
