ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The calendar says we are heading into the first full week of April, but it will feel more like the middle of March. The chilly weather will continue for another two days as temperature readings will only be in the middle 40s on Monday and in the middle 30s for Tuesday. The precipitation will “off and on” during the next 48 hours and likely flip back and forth between scattered rain showers and wet snow showers. This is not unusual for this time of the year.
The question for the News10NBC First Alert meteorologists is any snowfall going to accumulate? The time frame for the coldest temperature will probably be during the early morning hours. It is Tuesday morning that a minor accumulation is possible, mainly on the grassy surfaces. At this time, we anticipate this would be an inch or less across the area.
Then a definite moderation in the conditions is expected with milder temperatures returning by the middle of the week. More abundant sunshine returns for Wednesday as the temperature will rise to within a few degrees of 50. Thursday will be back to spring conditions as the temperature climbs into the lower to middle 60s.
