SANTA BARBARA COUNTY, Calif. (KEYT) – Firefighters put out an eight-acre vegetation fire near the 2100 block of Aliso Canyon Road, southwest of New Cuyama Saturday afternoon.
According to the Santa Barbara County Fire Department, crews were called to the area at 2:57 p.m. and were able to successfully halt forward progress of the flames at 3:27 p.m. Saturday.
Crews remained on the scene to mop up the area and ensure the fire remained out and had been called to the scene of a three-acre fire Friday evening about half-a-mile south of Saturday's fire shared the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
