Country Singer Reflects on ‘One of the Hardest Seasons of My Life,’ Eyes Next Chapter ...Saudi Arabia

News by : (Parade) -

While appearing at the 2026 Country Radio Seminar (CRS), which ran from March 18-20 at the Omni in Nashville, Tenn, the powerhouse songstress spoke candidly about stepping out on her own — territory she describes as entirely uncharted. For her, the transition into a solo career has been both liberating and nerve-wracking, pushing her to take a leap of faith and embrace the unknown.

“My solo journey has been a complete shock because I mean, in my heart, I was going to be a group member forever,” Hart told Parade during a one-on-one chat at CRS. “With being launched into a solo career, I had already had this concept, and I said, ‘Why do we have to wait to make an EP or make a record?’ Why not try something different and do something different?... Why can't we sit down and show the fans what we're doing and be like, ‘Do you like this? Yes or no?’ And then you can kind of keep moving forward, and that is where the Open Hart Sessions were born from…”

“It has just been the most beautiful creation that kind of, in a sense, fell in my lap. And I've been doing that. It started as just kind of going to local places from my hometown in Mississippi. And it is spreading out to be a national thing,” Hart beamed. “It's growing, and I'm excited to see it.. I think I'm learning at this stage of my solo career that you've got to just do it anyway. Do it scared, do it nervous. I was nervous today coming into the Country Radio Seminar. I was like, I feel kind of naked. I've never been in one of these by myself before.”

Her First Studio Solo Release

That emotional honesty and transparency carry into her new music, too. In the fall, Hart released a song called “Amazing Grace,” which shares lyrics from the hymn, but also offers listeners a glimpse into a difficult chapter of her personal life, marked by hardship, healing, and faith.

"That’s the moment where you go, 'Okay, I’m on the right path,'" she said.

"I'm just writing and releasing the music from my heart, but I believe that I want to take a pause to thank God out loud and publicly because going through a breakup is, especially in the public eye, so hard," Hart said. "It's having to hold yourself together and wade through what's true, what's not. And there's a calm that you've got to have. God has kept me through this season.”

“I've learned that through ‘Amazing Grace’ that it has helped so many people…,” she shares. “This thing has just taken such a life of its own, but I'm honored that it gets to be my baby.”

She Isn’t Rushing the Solo Process

While she dreams of milestones, including making her Grand Ole Opry debut as a solo artist after she had previously stepped into the famous circle as a trio, her focus remains on staying grounded and open.
