ROCHESTER, N.Y. — “Visit Rochester,” is getting money from New York State to host viewing parties for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Visit Rochester is getting more than $24,000 for viewing parties in the East and Alex entertainment district and $22,000 for parties in High Falls.

The first game of the World Cup will be held on Thursday, June 11 at Mexico City Stadium. Mexico will be facing South Africa.
The U.S. will be facing Paraguay on Friday, June 12 at Los Angeles Stadium. The World Cup Final is set for Sunday, July 19.
