Isabelle Cameron from Peterborough, England will transfer to East Carolina for the upcoming season. Cameron spent her freshman season at Marshall.

“I am so excited and grateful to announce that my journey will be continued on at East Carolina University! Id like to thank everyone who has supported me through this decision, especially Coach Ian and Coach Kat. I want to thank everyone at ECU who has already made me feel welcomed and for the coaching team for being able to make this opportunity a reality for me! This past year hasn’t been easy for anyone on this team, but it made me even more grateful to be part of it. Everything we went through together is something I’ll never forget. Thank you to all my teammates at Marshall. Go Pirates! ”

Cameron finished her freshman season at the 2026 American Athletic Conference Championships and was highlighted by a lifetime best 1:02.74 in prelims of the 100 breaststroke. She went on to finish 14th in finals with a 1:02.87. She also scored in the 200 breast with a 15th place finish.

Her lifetime best 2:16.85 in the 200 breast came at midseason. That swim made her the #6 performer all-time for Marshall’s program.

Cameron’s Best SCY Times Are:

100 breast: 1:02.74 200 breast: 2:16.85 200 IM: 2:05.19 400 IM: 4:30.10

The East Carolina women were 3rd at the 2026 American Athletic Conference Championships, higher than Marshall’s 8th place finish. The Marshall women’s swim and dive program was originally cut right before the conference meet but has since been reinstated. Like Marshall, the ECU men’s and women’s programs were cut back in 2020 and the women’s program was reinstated at the start of 2021.

Cameron was the top breaststroker for Marshall this past season but will join the ECU group that was led by Peyton Scott in the 100 with a 1:02.31 and Heidi Bruining in the 200 with a 2:14.94.
